Friday 20 April 2012: Four Seasons in One ... Minute!

I know I do go on about Arran's weather, but with good reason. There's this mythology of constant rain which conflicts with what any Arran gardener knows about the dryness of the soil. There's the fact that Brodick can be having torrential rain while Whiting Bay hasn't seen a drip. There's the debate about which Met Office location gives the most accurate forecast ... do you go with Ardrossan or Northern Ireland or Campbeltown?

Noting from Sergeant Pepper that Edinburgh is having another brolly day, I thought this might help explain our current weather ... I am standing at the same point in the garden and the sky to my left is like this while the sky to my right is like this! And it can hang on like this for hours!
