Friday 20 April 2012: AprilChallenge - Something You Drew
'Fairy Doodle', by Kate Chadwick, aged 37 and a half...
We have an eight year old daughter. I regularly draw fairies and princesses!
I admit it - I REALLY enjoyed this challenge. I loved art at school, and quite like pinching the kids' sketchbooks off them on holiday and having a doodle myself. I STILL can't draw hands or feet though - notice one foot is significantly larger than the other here, and shall we gloss over the claw-hands (and wonky wings)?! Best not viewed large ;)
Paul did Ceramic Design at Uni, but strangely, he's far more technical/mathematical nowadays. Both kids enjoy art at school - I'd be surprised if Matthew doesn't end up with an IT/art based career.
Just want to say thank you for the peptalk/advice yesterday - particularly Lucie and Liz, who were daft enough to offer to come with me. Death wish, ladies?!!! Seriously though, thanks. I've decided to go out on my own, do a few laps of our estate, then take a steady drive over to Lichfield. It's an easy run, and only takes ten minutes. So, you've been warned. Stay off the road if you're nearby! x
