Friday 20 April 2012: LadyBridge

I was very surprised to see blue sky and sunshine this morning so made the most of it and had a walk around town.

This is LadyBridge, originally built in 1294 and widened, improved and repaired in 1839. The bridge crosses the confluence of the River Tame and River Anker and was the main route into town in Norman times. The bridge is now closed to traffic.

Back home now and we've just had a hail storm!!

Off to put the kettle on - have a fantastic weekend blippers - hope the sun shines for you x
