Friday 20 April 2012: more books
This time on a shelf in the local church op shop.
How could one go past 'Bit Part Players of the Bible' though the thought of' 4000 Household Hints' is mind boggling. That's more than 10 a day to consider. Eeeek!
I ended up buying (for the grand sum 0f 50c) "Food with the Famous' with recipes and anecdotes for the times from diaries and in some instances family recipes of, amongst others, diarist John Evelyn, Jane Austen, Monet and Proust.
This book inscribed 'To Freda , with best wishes-love and friendship-Maud xx'
So much for decluttering the book shelves.
