Friday 20 April 2012: Ze Knockerz
A phrase coined by the lovely Tina :)
Today has been a busy day. Sewing (check out our new labels - aren't they ridiculously cute?!) and a walk into town... Which is about 5 minutes away in the car but proved a good 2.5hrs round trip what with a heavy 10-month old strapped to my front (yes, ten months old, that is no typo!), pushing a heavy 2 1/2 year old in the pram all combined with my rather epic fitness level of zero (and that's only because I can't choose a negative number) and you've got a somewhat leisurely but long-winded stroll.
As a result I am absolutely knackered this afternoon but at least we made it back before the weather turned miserable (oh British weather, your unpredictability still surprises me, even a year on from our return!) and I have spent the rest of the afternoon mostly sitting. And boobing. Smoosh had a good long nap in the carrier on the way home (which she needed; she's either teething or ill but she hasn't been happy for the last few days!) but she was hungry when we got home. I realised it has been ages since I last got a snap of us feeding, and I know how much I regret not taking more of Claudia feeding, especially when she was older, so I got the camera out. Amy thought it was hilarious to pull off right as I pressed the shutter, thereby exposing me, and giggled rather madly each time. Lunatic.
Her sister has mostly been cutting things today. I bought her some safety scissors since she kept assuming that all scissors are 'safety scissors' after watching a Mickey Mouse episode. While it was nice that they made a point of using safety scissors, they failed to describe what they were and so Claudia has been getting very frustrated that I won't let her use my ones (especially my bad-boy fabric shears which are frighteningly sharp!). So she now has her very own scissors and pinking shears :)
That's about it from us really. All is well, if tiring, in the land of H and her minion-ettes :)
