Friday 20 April 2012: NHM arches and windows
Late blip; I'll keep it brief so that I don't fall asleep and collapse onto my keyboard leaving only "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"...
I love the architecture of the Waterhouse Building (the main old part of the Natural History Museum).
I took this from the very top of the main hall (on the second floor... Visitors seem rarely to get up so far and see the splendid 1,300 year old giant sequoia); I liked the way that the light was catching the gilt floral ornamentation on the exposed iron arches.
