Friday 20 April 2012: Saltspring Island Sunshine

It was a glorious day today to cruise over to the next island west of us to do some overdue errands: the bank, the wine store, the pharmacy, a quick run into a grocery store and a most relaxing LUNCH out at a great small cafe with an outdoor deck overlooking the marina.! Here are our friends R and D warming in the sun, waiting for mussels and good pasta. I had some trouble getting the light right in the foreground and the backlit background- the sky was bluer than it looks here.....

We got energized to do lots of window washing this afternoon - so far it hasn't rained on the shiny windows! - and one more dinner OUT at the guest cabin with fresh striped shrimp bought on the dock today, and great bruscetta and yummy green bean/pea salad, and chocolate and strawberries. A day with no cooking is always a big deal for me! and appreciated greatly!

Tomorrow I'll check on the geese...I missed a good mink photo today.
