Saturday 21 April 2012: JUVENILE GREENFINCH

Another of the introduced species to NZ in the 1890's - the greenfinch ,
Carduelis Chloris, a bit larger than a house sparrow. The female and the juvenile are duller in colour than the male. Has forked tale.

This (I think) is a youngster from this years breeding.
