Wednesday 18 April 2012: Failed! Edinburgh Castle at 800mm (109/366)
I learned an important lesson this week: As an aspiring astrophotographer, and committed Blipper, I need to get my emergency Blips done before going out trying to shoot stars.
Out tonight with a tripod plus 400mm lens and a 2x convertor, the weather closed in as I got to the top of the hill. Just time to take a couple of snap shots of the only thing still visible: Edinburgh Castle. Manually focussed, and in a bit of a gale, hence the softness and weird light trails.
Weather: a cruel mistress.
