Saturday 21 April 2012: Sisters
Oh my, these two melt my heart sometimes!
We went to the shops today to post Katie's Mummy's carrier and get some croissants and the girls had their first tandem trip in the trolley (only because I left my carrier at home - moron!) and we had a nice trip out.
The afternoon has been strange - the mister and Clauds both went for naps (some stupid courier woke us at 0645 with a delivery!!) and Amy snoozed on me while I managed something rarely experienced during early motherhood: tv. And I don't mean kids' tv, or stuff that the mister and I watch together in fits and starts when the kids are in bed; I mean tv that I have recorded for me after seeing the ads and thinking "ooh that looks nice". 'Touch' (with good ol' Keifer Sutherland). It's not bad. I didn't think I'd ever get around to watching it but it was wonderful to snuggle up on the sofa with a snoozing Smoosh and get through 3 whole episodes.
And the best bit? I don't feel in the least bit guilty as I blitzed the lounge and kitchen this morning so have filled up my virtue tank to be expended at my discretion.
Anyway, when Clauds woke up, she came downstairs to sit with me on the sofa and have a play on the iPad... Amy was awake by this point and found the whole "Mum and sister on the sofa together" situation pretty amusing. She even stopped for a quick Zoolander pose :)
But yes. It's not half past 6 and the mister still isn't up! He's been working ridiculously hard this week so he clearly needed to catch up on some Zzzzzs bless him.
Haggis for dinner. I don't know why but I adore haggis. I try not to think about what's in it but it's damn tasty!
