Saturday 21 April 2012: Llamas of the Corn
(aka the Eyeless Llamas)
The fun part of exploration is finding things you didn't know were there. Like llamas. For a little while it seemed that their idea of fun was to stalk me, but then there was a distraction ("Oh look! Grass! When did that get here?") and off they went. I could have waited until my presence was once again new to them ("Oh look! A person! When did that get here?") but the Beloved was lonely by himself in the car so I went back.
We drove and drove, looking for Mt. Misery and Bald Hill but finding lakes, more lakes, acres and acres of forest, sandhill cranes, a turkey vulture - and llamas.
Life is damn near perfect.
