Haagse Bluf

Jaap and I went shopping in The Hague today.

This is a picture of one of the entrances of the shopping area in The Hague called 'Haagse Bluf'.

There is a type of dessert called 'Haagse Bluf' which is made of beaten egg white with berryjuice. The name refers to the attitude of people in The Hague. It looks like quite something, but in the end it's only air...

The shopping area however is a reconstruction of several streets with a number of replica's of old façades and shopfronts of the old city center and some from other parts of the world, thus creating a nice mixture of archetecture. The shopfront of the Dagelijkse Groenmarkt 26/26A is brought back to it's original state. After the renovation 'Haagse Bluf' was opened in 2001.

Anyone who knows more about this, please correct me if I'm wrong...
