When the kids were small and spending their entire summer on Arran, we developed a whole language, as families do, for our experiences of the place. Thus, the huge pebbles and stones of Machrie Beach acquired their name. Today, we rounded off Son2's short visit to the island with a quick outing to Machrie which is also an ideal skimming beach
