Friday 20 April 2012: main street arts fair
today we braved the early morning rain and got a preview of the arts fair. we were lucky enough to have just stepped in the downtown barnes and noble bookstore when the downpour hit. we hid out for about an hour, picking up a few choice items and enjoying a hot chocolate in the cafe before getting a ride back to the hotel. Brian came to our rescue.
the weather cleared out and we enjoy an afternoon at the art fair.
mom got to meet some of my fort worth and med school friends; we had a little happy hour at timesten wine bar; then a yummy dinner at lil's bistro. excellent grilled tilapia.
mom leaves tomorrow and its back to reality--lots of library time in my near future.
