Tuesday 24 April 2012: Twilight on the rock platform

Awoke this morning to a sparkling day after all that rain. Not to disappoint, rain clouds blew in this afternoon but blew out to the east as quickly as they came.

This is the rock platform between Newcastle and Nobbys beaches. I had come down here at sunset following the rain clouds which were quite pink just before this shot was taken. I had a few shots of the pink clouds but preferred this later shot with the purply blues and a slightly longer exposure.

Tomorrow is Anzac day. A public holiday here and over the ditch in NZ where we remember our defence forces and service to the Country. I hope to make it to the dawn service.
