Tuesday 24 April 2012: AprilChallenge - Something You're Grateful For

Had to think of a way around this.

Something I'm grateful for. My friend Ju. This was taken by her house earlier - apparently 10am on a Tuesday morning isn't the best time to ask your mate to have her photograph taken ;)

Ju's been my best friend for thirty years, and is often mentioned on here. She's very dependable, much calmer and more 'stable' than me - nothing fazes her, which I admire.

We've been through some awful, horrible, stuff together (mostly involving hospitals) and some really, really good stuff (weddings, Spanish holidays, babies, eating Toblerone 'til we were nearly sick...) I love her to bits. I've never forgiven her for making me wear a red satin bridesmaid's dress, complete with BIG red roses in my hair, though ;)

I like to think we'll still be sat gossiping/moaning/laughing, mugs of tea in hand, in another thirty years' time.

See, I can say nice things. Thought I'd better, after yesterday's rant. I'm still spitting blood about that one though. Anyway, I'm off now to see my sister, who features in my 'year ago' blip. Which she hates. Haha. She thinks it's an awful photograph :)
