Tuesday 24 April 2012: Just Before The Sleet
Sometimes I hurry to try and catch the light, thinking that just because it's dull in town it doesn't mean there wont be a few nice rays further west. It wasn't looking hopeful. The sky in the rear-view mirror was light but ahead it was surely raining. Keswickians must be getting soaked!
I was at the same place as where I blipped the ewe and lamb, this time hoping to catch some on the horizon before they caught site of me. Not many of the flock were nearby tonight, I saw what I wanted to snap then felt the drops.
Before I could get back in the car the rain was pelting down, very soon turning to sleet and hail! I sat a few minutes, but it wasn't letting up so I drove home towards the brighter weather hoping to find a rainbow.
