Road to Rio

This is Silvio our driver for the day, but also a friend during many years from when he was our permanent driver during our previous years in Sao Paulo. He's a great guy and makes life so much easier when he's around to help.

The journey by road to Rio took just over five hours with this snack break along the way. The countryside was more interesting than we had been expecting, especially when the motorway twisted its way down from the high plains to the coast.
