Cactus

They're small and annoying and if you've ever flung open the curtains ready to face the day but forgetting that they're on the windowsill, they hurt a lot and are among the few plants you're likely to shout at. But every couple of years they flower, and that's almost worth it.

Also.....first rhubarb today, in a lovely crumble. It's a very old plant and somewhat sturdy, but if you peel the skin off a bit before cooking it, it's fantastic. Might try forcing some.
