Art Installation by Seagulls

Up to Newcastle for work, and just had time after the presentation to go over to Gateshead for a look around the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. There were some good exhibits there - I especially liked Click by Elizabeth Price - but the best exhibit of all could be seen from the 4th floor external viewing gallery which is on the same level as the large letters "Baltic Flour Mill" that can be clearly seen from across the Tyne. Gulls are using the ledge below the lettering as a surrogate cliff face, and made a great display neatly lined up there. As you can see from the rain on the 'don't jump' barrier, it was a really horrible evening.
