Hornbeam

Well, it was either this - or a soggy iris from my front garden.
I hate wet weekends - wanted to make a start on weeding my
garden but even when it stops raining it's toooo cold.

We have a lot of hornbeam trees on our estate. There used to be one in our front garden but we had to chop it down as it became diseased. They're one of the last trees to bud and I love their silvery leaves.
