Friday 27 April 2012: crawfish
this is only one of many troughs of crawfish i saw today.
today was the north texas oil and gas crawfish boil that supports the local Boys and Girls Clubs of the greather Fort Worth area. It's their biggest fundraising event of the year.
I was volunteering with some of my classmates; however, we got to enjoy the party as well. free food, drinks, and fun times after our working shift. it was crazy--most likely a couple thousand people. I didn't eat any of the crawfish (I worked on table clean-up duty first and saw too many left-over, discarded, eaten crawfish shells--i had chicken gumbo and some catfish instead.)
good times after a crazy week: three exams and a quiz. i want to take saturday off, but not sure if i should...we'll see how it goes.
