Sunday 29 April 2012: Duet
This morning as I sat on a large flat topped boulder by Lake Bomoseen sipping coffee and taking in the silence of the new day. The waters were almost completely calm with areas of rippling. Only a few clouds floated along the skyline. As the sun readied itself to enter center stage, two geese flew in from the north and came in for a landing as the sun trailed its light on the water. The geese seemed aware of the symmetry as they floated on either side of the light. Now I say to you, if this isn't magical, what is? I like that this is not completely centered and the blur, for me, adds to the magic of the moment.
A duet of geese in the morning sun by Lake Bomoseen on the last sunday in April.
technical - lightened vignette, minor saturation, straightened horizon
