Just back fron a madly invigorating hike with BAT - the wind was howling and at one point we nearly took off, but the views were spectacular and the sea an amazing colour. We walked passed the old copper mines- this little bit of water had some technical use in proceedings - but today it is so pretty, full of water lilies and bog beans and crystal clear water. Passed it is a sheer drop down the cliffs to the sea below and the entrance to the mines. We were full of awe for the hardiness of the people who lived and mined here. We didnt see another soul but were impressed at the variety of plants clinging onto the cliffs and blooming in this windswept place - lousewort, primroses, violets, thrift, bluebells, clovers - all a bit stunted but looking good.
Can't linger as we're now off to supper - a blackcurrant crumble is cooking and himself is slaving over some naan bred and rice - it's a potluck thing. Catch up tomorrow.
