Englishtown Beach....

Had a strange sort of day, feeling somewhat restless and a bit down...not sure i could put my finger on why....some friend's dealing with health issues perhaps! anyway, nothing too serious, just noticed i wasn't my usual energetic self. So i listened to that inner feeling and made a big pot of veggie and bean soup....listened to the sunday radio and even had a wee nap!

Around 3 in the afternoon we set off for a walk along the beach! it was chilly but sunny...and actually not too cold on the beach. Sometimes it can be quite lovely here and then the wind coming off the ocean makes it pretty uncomfortable. but not today! i had such a great time.....photographing all sorts of wonderful things on the beach, such an assortment of beauty. Terry continued his quest for a round stone....most of the beaches here are covered in beautiful stones of all different sizes....some really big ones! he has been on this quest for quite a few years....he gets so close...and so he lugs home a few 'almost' perfectly round stones that get put in the pile!

Then, as we disembarked from the ferry, on foot....i saw this woman, sitting in her car, in line for the ferry...waving frantically at me! i didn't have my glasses on so i couldn't see who it was!!! but i walked closer thinking well it will become apparent when i can actually see her face!! Low and behold...it was an old friend Wendy, from **Muskoka!!! we were totally amazed! had a very brief chat...she was worried she was holding up the line for the ferry...with promises of trying to call me! how small this world really is eh!!!

Now it's time to eat the lovely soup for dinner!!!

** Muskoka is in Ontario, about a 3 day drive from here, where i lived for almost 20 years!!!
