Monday 30 April 2012: Relaxing Day Off, Sort Of ....
As I said yesterday we were considering a trip to the zoo today. In the end with the weather we decided against it. So instead we headed off to Town to try and sort out the bank. 5 weeks it has taken them to sort out our new joint account. We are both with said bank individually but decided to bite bullet with a joint account. It has apparently been done but we have had no notification and they got my name wrong. We were told the only way to rectify that was a trip to the branch! 40mile round trip - Grrrr
On route my phone rang so I pulled over. The "local" pet shop has my number for Hedgehog rescues. Some one had found a baby stoat/weasle could we take it ??? I said ok but we had business in town and we'd get to it asap. We were still in town 2 hours later (banks!!!) I rang them back and said they'd best take it to a vet as it wasn't fair on the baby if I was going to be any longer. So left it at that. Sent them to our vet who is generally quite good when it comes to all things wild and would hopefully point them in another carers direction.
From town we/ well I needed abit of time out. I get frazzled if I can't help and it does play on my mind. So we headed to The Spinnies nature reserve type place on the Straits.
It was lovely and peaceful - well apart from the 13/14 Little Egrets shouting at one & other in the trees lol
Took loads of photo's of Chaffinches, Doves, Mallard & Babies but I loved the stillness of the water and the trees just coming into bloom so decided on this for my blip.
Nutty bird news is there is still no egg. She is doing fine no signs of one being due and to be honest if she never lays again I'll be happy. I'd rather a healthy happy bird than seeing her like she was last week withdrawn etc...
All the others are ok. All being well tomorrow Gromits eggs will arrive.
Tomorrow I have to go to the local sorting office to collect a letter that was sent but with out full postage being paid. So I have to go stump up some cash and I don't even know what it is, could be junk mail lol
Ahh well on wards & upwards :o)
