Tuesday 1 May 2012: Enjoy it while you can
Cranmer Courts, originally built in 1874 as the Christchurch Normal School, it then became Christchurch Teachers College in the 1950's. In 1981 a developer transformed it into a group of luxury apartments. Unfortuantely 22nd February 2011 came around inflicting major damage. $1million dollars has been spent on it since February and still it looks like it is doomed. Another beautiful building awaits it's fate....photographs have sprung up in some of the larger windows making it a unique sight as you drive by. One more of those wait, watch and wonder.
