Tuesday 1 May 2012: May day in the sun
Stopped to look at this newly rebuilt terracing wall with what looks like an oven or fireplace built into it, and noticed the twisted ash trunk next to it. It felt like spring this morning, warm in the sun and the wild flowers making the garrigue into a colourful carpet on the rocky hillsides. In the distance I could see the Pyrenees, too far and too hazy to photograph, covered with snow as Travellersjoy found yesterday. Hard to believe when it's so warm here!
