Digging In Both Directions, London

At the moment in Central London they seem to be digging everything up. Just up the road from where I work is Hanover Square where major building work is going on in connection with the huge Crossrail project. In Green Park they dug a huge trench for a cooling system for the Underground and in Victoria they are building a massive new ticket hall for the station and regenerating the whole area at the same time. Sometimes it feels as if they are digging in both directions at once.
