Thursday 3 May 2012: Getting Better
Even Anna's creepy little giant-headed Polly Dolly is fed up with the rain. That little vest top simply isn't suited to these torrential downpours and chilly temperatures. Seven degrees today. Brrrr. But my trusty weather app forecasts a dry weekend - let's hope it's right.
A quick, early blip from me as I'm off out shortly to see Lucie and Michelle. It'll be a happy little gathering - as some of you will have read in Lucie's journal, Michelle's nine year old niece, Poppy, had a brain tumour removed last Monday, after eight years of treatment and her parents being told it was inoperable. It'll be really lovely to see a happy, cheerful Michelle, who has obviously been worried sick for weeks. It's so nice to hear wonderful news like that - and the brilliant team at Birmingham Children's Hospital should get recognition for what they've done. A proper happy ending, which we'll celebrate with coffee and cake :)
