Thursday 3 May 2012: Sunshine Through The Willow
Today's story comes courtesy of Deutsche Bahn. Normally when I get to the train station I walk down to where the last train carriage stops. It's always quieter there. And so there I was, waiting for the train and I heard a station announcement. And ignored it. A couple of minutes later I turned round to find the platform was empty and everyone was over on Platform 1. Waiting for the Wiesbaden train as the sign said.
Botheration I said quite loudly and made my way as quickly as possible to the other platform.
And as I got to the top of the stairs on Platform 1, there was another announcement which went along the lines of "You know how we said you should come to Platform 1 for the Wiesbaden train? Well, we lied about that. You should go back to Platform 2. And I'd hurry if I were you because that looks like your train coming into the station right now..."
Deutsche Bahn - thanks for that.
