Thursday 3 May 2012: Changes
At my workplace today we said goodbye to a fellow colleague who's retiring after working many, many years at the Akureyri Town Council. She's was diagnosed with breast cancer a little over a year ago and has been bravely battling against it since then and now the prognosis is very good. I admire her positive attitude and strength - she's a true fighter! She'll be missed by many here in our department.
On the other hand, I also received some sad news tonight.
Sometimes it seems to me like this awful disease - cancer - is everywhere.
Sometimes I'm just speechless... and angry. Wish I knew whom to be angry at...
