Friday 4 May 2012: Team Work

Here come the girls :o)

So that's that the training is done, learnt some new stuff and refreshed on other bits. It has been great with a great bunch of girls, from now on we'll be more like ships but I'm sure there will be many a get together in the future.

As I said yesterday it was an all day "ish" event but I did manage to get home just in time to see Biscuit making her way out of her house leaving behind that all important 3rd egg. Dare I hope we now have a "regular" goose? LoL

The big move we had planned for the ducks tonight has been postponed due to the fact we have to go for corn tomorrow (not enough for a long weekend). We will be happier letting the ducklings out when we are around as this will be their first time without the protection of netting above them and seagulls & magpies don't care that they are pets! At least if we're here we can keep an ear/eye out for problems and move them back asap if need be. So the move will now happen tomorrow night :o)
Other exciting duckling news is that about 1/2 an hour ago I heard what sounded like an attempt at a quack! This is fantastic as the girls start quacking first as a rule. So at least one all being well lol I could sex them as I am lucky enough to do it from 2 days old with ducks but well we decided we'd see what happened :o)
Grommit is still sitting nice & tight on her nest and I am so far resisting the temptation to candle the eggs :o) Can't promise that I wont have a sneeky peep over the weekend though lol

I have come back from training feeling a bit ergh, think I may have had one too many chocolates, whoops! Poor WF is out there now doing water & stuff but he's also on his blip mission having been busy all day whilst I was out.

So that basically in a nut coated in chocolate & purple wrapper kind of way is that.

Hope you all have a great long weekend if your not working etc... and that the weather is kind.

Take Care
