Friday 4 May 2012: Turban Crabs
I'm in a lousy mood because I wrote a blip and was about to hit "publish," but then the computer crashed and all of the comments were lost, even though I'd copied the text.
In Chinatown I looked for razor clams but found squids and "moon" snails to bring home instead. While browsing the little shop I saw these crabs with these unfamiliar tie-ups. Are they gender-sorted with the two colors? Who knows? It seemed too busy a shop to ask foreigner-questions in, but they were not the usual Maryland crabs. I called them Turban Crabs and headed home.
