Saturday 5 May 2012: L's spot.
Rise and shine, it's Saturday. Spent a good morning at J's, roaming about, and then headed to zumba. Haven't been in a wee while and it's always great fun!
Dug into my french, not getting too far, but it's a start.
Miscommunications costing a lot, but sorted themselves out eventually <3
Went to see L in town, found K, and was a really nice end to the afternoon. Raced -literally- down to the waterfront to catch the sunset... Too much exercise in one day, I think.. quite possible. heh. In L's spot, on the end of a wharf, surrounded by stunning lighting.. made the perfect opportunity to pull out my 75-300mm lense. Quite a mission to get that on the camera... eek. Success in the end, and the moon.. wasn't it stunning! Apparently - and by all means it looked it - closer, and bigger today for some reason.
Lots more to figure out. L's holding up my standard 18-55mm here.
L had babysitting, she escaped us. Me and K sat on the edge of the road watching the ferries, and I had a play with loooooooong shutter speed. 30 seconds long shutter speed. Great, great fun. But I think, out of what I was trying to get, 10 seconds does it better... I'll need to have another play. There were quite a few lights around - that it didn't work so well.
K's extended family are so nice! Was such a lovely ride home. Most interesting car ride I've had in a long time. :o)
Can't wait for tomorrow. Must finish off at least the french, and possibly some calculus before I can let myself go to bed. :(
