The last obstacle before going back to sea was successfully passing the Basic North Sea Course. This is a three day course consisting of first aid, firefighting and helicopter underwater escape training. Most choppers are top heavy so after making an emergency landing at sea, it is most likely that they will capsize immediately. So when training this, the instructors strap you in a capsule, close the windows, drag the capsule under water, turning it upside down and give you a tap on you shoulder as a sign to take care of yourself and try to reach the surface alive. It is obvious that there are not a lot of fans of this training.
