Tuesday 1 May 2012: Panda Project

You can hardly go anywhere in Edinburgh (or indeed Central Scotland) without seeing souvenirs in the form of pandas. After all, we now have Sunshine and Sweetie in residence at Edinburgh Zoo.

So this evening our family went along to see our Daughter's contribution to this - the outcome of a collaborative project at school for which prizes were being presented this evening. She was not one of the winners, but this is a pic of her team's display. I particularly liked the work they'd done to create the display stand for the panda hand warmer.

The Chinese ambassador to Edinburgh presented the prizes, along with two staff from RZSS, and the winning project was 'PandaBoos' - a set of giant stickers for a wall decoration, which were deemed original and looked very effective.
