A dirty Job!
this is the end result of a very dirty and somewhat unpleasant job in the studio!
When pots are made, there are trimmings - lots of trimmings, cos each pot has to be trimmed before it is fired! So, boxes of dried up bits of clay accumulate, boxes, all over the studio! they were in corners, under tables, under benches....on top of benches....just taking up so much space! it's been a long time since i dealt with them! So, today, Richard and I loaded all the boxes of clay onto the truck, Terry took them up the hill and dumped them into an area that actually needed some backfill! I should add, this material is not toxic or cause for a problem - it basically came from the earth and is now being returned!
I might add, that really GOOD and DEVOTED potters do that nasty thing called, Reclaiming....i hate it, and vowed over 20 years ago i wasn't interested in that road!
Here's Richard cutting up the many boxes that are now ready for the recycling place!
Yeah for a clean and uncluttered studio. maybe i'll blip the studio tomorrow, it looks all pretty !
