Saturday 5 May 2012: Mr Spartak
Spartak belongs to my friends Wyn and Natasha. He was Natasha's cat when she used to live in Moscow - he was a housecat, as she lived in an apartment block, and in an area too busy for cats to be out in. He is now very much an outdoor cat, and loves to boss the neighbourhood, starting plenty of fights and walking into strange people's houses without a care in the world! When the two of us are left alone, he usually finds a way to sidle over and give me a quick bite on the ankle! I was waiting for Wyn and Natasha at their house today (they are notoriously late for everything, even when their kind friends offer to drive them to the airport!), but Spartak wasn't in the biting mood, so he practised his intimidating looks at me instead.
