Saturday 5 May 2012: Nearly a Backblip...

11.48pm. Cutting it fine, to say the least! I had a busy morning, then a very lovely afternoon with Lucie and Kath, followed by Matthew's end-of-season rugby presentation this evening. Needless to say, I'm heading to bed now this minute!

This is very much an 'it'll do'' blip - I think I spent more time chatting than concentrating on photography today. This is the best of a dull, grey bunch taken at the arboretum. But hey, what with the impending Queen's Jubilee and Olympics, at least it suits the patriotic thing we've got going on here at the moment!

The presentation was great, and Matt has two new shiny trophies, one for playing the whole season, and one for being part of a County Cup winning side. Every summer the team get an 'adventure' trip - one year they dangled my boy off a 200ft Peak District viaduct on an abseiling harness. This year? Well, tonight it was announced that they are scaling Mount Snowdon in July. Bloody hell.
