Sunday 6 May 2012: Lilac !!

The Lilac is in full bloom and what a beauty it is , I've had it since it was a little baby in a pot and likes this spot facing south .
A morning without rain or sun for that matter but at least I was able to get a few jobs done.
I banked up my potatoes that had sprouted through the soil after 4 weeks , planted a dozen lettuce that I grew from seed ( fingers crossed ) weeded and racked over the vegetable patch as I might put some Haricot Verts in next week . Then spent an hour weeding some path areas which I can tell you is back breaking .
Lucy spotted 2 ducks on the grass and very cleverly and slowly herded them into the far corner of the garden I did take some shots but they are not that clear as I kept my distance , anyway that done she just left them there and wandered off I've no idea where Angie was through this little drama.
Two football matches this afternoon both with Manchester clubs and vital games so that's my afternoon planned .
I hope it's a good day for you wherever you are , oh and thanks for all your nice comments on my Marbels which hit spotlight I'm so happy .
