The flower girl of Buchanan Street

I tried a slightly different way of taking a stranger portrait today. Although I love taking these the few moments you get with someone means that positioning is often less than ideal and the elusive natural looking pose still evades me.

I saw this beautiful girl sitting with her suitcase on Buchanan Street. I just took this one and only shot of her and before raising the camera smiled and made eye contact and indicated I would take a photo and she beamed at me. I told her she looked so pretty and went on my way.
