Sunday 6 May 2012: Anyone for tea?
Blipped two days in a row, that cheeky little smile!
I didn't have many blips in the bag today, I'm afraid, so here is a (slightly 'fiddled with' in the colour department) shot of Lynley's early Mothers' Day tea party. She and Jonathan are taking the children away for a little break next weekend so she decided to get the good china out this Sunday instead. She had baked an awesome cake, which Alexander could hardly tear himself away from as it sat, tantalisingly under its glass dome, waiting for the guests to arrive. Even suggestions that he go and help Daddy rake the leaves were, for once, not received with much enthusiasm and offers of little morsels of Immy's Lemon Drizzle Cake (delicious!) were rebuffed.
At last the guests came, tea was poured, the cake was cut and the cucumber sandwiches passed around. What a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon! AND we've all got extra cake for this week's lunchboxes.....
