The Victoria Memorial

This is one of the structures that distinguishably characterizes Calcutta and speaks volumes about its Colonial past. Visited it after a long time and took some shots which I liked.

Further, went down the road to witness the Durga Puja. There is a lot of hype about this festival season, and the nostalgia of it made me revisit the childhood pastime of walking down the heavily crowded streets to see the festivities. It was good and different, to do things the old fashioned way. Lots of street food, lots of walking and jostling the crowds... And a bit of prayer too.
