Sunday 6 May 2012: Cruise Ship 'Albatros'

This is the fourth scheduled cruise liner to visit Portree this season. This is her maiden visit to Skye. The vessel weighs in at a gross tonnage of 28,018 and she should have had 848 passengers.
The next one to visit will be small by comparison being 4,376 Tons and with 122 passengers. 'Clipper Adventurer' will visit on the 17th of May.

The land beyong the entrance to Loch Portree is the Isle of Raasay and it is the Sound of Raasay that the ship is at anchor in.

Another fine day but once again with a cold northerly wind.
