Monday 7 May 2012: Spey Bay
May day day out today to Spey Bay. Unfortunately it was bitterly cold and more like New year's Day than May bank holiday! It iwas the first time that I have been here and I must go back on a lovely day and linger for a good while. It is where the river Spey enters the ocean and there is a wonderful little Dolphin centre/shop/tearoom to thaw you out after being on the beach. There are walks up the river and the beach is full of shingle and rounded stones and the most drift wood I have seen anywhere.
This tee pee had been constructed by someone passing this way before us and I was really attracted to it and had to add some pieces to it's construction. Sutherland loved it too and if the sun had just come out we could have lingered a lot longer. Sutherland's Mum and Dad can just been seen in the background hauling the buggy with young Finlaggan in it!
Back to school tomorrow......only 4 days this week!
Yesterday's back blip can be seen here.
