Beaver at Scudder Pond
After a quiet day - we needed one - Arvin and I took a short walk by Scudder Pond into Whatcom Falls Park. Arvin spotted this fellow or gal munching away on the water lilies. I was delighted. Even though this isn't the sharpest photo I've ever taken, I'm delighted to see this guy out of the water. I was pretty excited. We walked to the owl tree but the babies were not out. Along the pond we saw a Mallard mother with nine duckings, a couple of male Wood Ducks, a female Wood Duck with two ducklings, many birds including red winged blackbirds. It was a great way to spend the early evening. I posted more photos on Chaikins of Bellingham.
