Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Faces of Fiona #58

Yep. Tuesday again - our day with Fiona. When we picked her up this morning to go to the zoo, she was ready to bound out the door with her backpack on. Picked this photo of the river otter because the face on this guy was a surprise - looks awfully much like Fiona! We never get to see the otters that like our dock in the gulf islands this "face to face" .:-) Only 2 rides on the carousel today.

Then, it was also my once a month book club again today. The book discussed was "The Orphan Sister" by Gwendolen Gross. For me it was a pretty lightweight book that I wouldn't recommend. It didn't help that I finished it early so had time to read Jeanette Winterson's "Oranges are not the Only Fruit." which was so much richer while both described dysfunctional families and 'coming of age"...

Boppa and Fiona did pretty well this afternoon - after no nap in the bed, there was a short nap in the stroller. More Bubbles, and paint, and puzzles, and books and I got home for several rounds of "ring around the rosie" before time to take her home...

A relaxing evening is in order now! :-)

I loved reading the tributes to Molly yesterday!
