The Eye

Hellth Physics, SG

Studying again. Physics today.It says:

-Light enters the front of the eye through the cornea. The cornea is transparent and lots of refraction happens here.
-The light is then refracted more in a lens which is moved by tiny fibres which are like tiny muscles which move the lens to focus the light.
-Next the light passes through a gel which spreads it out.
-Now the light meets the retina which recieves the light. The retina has 100 million 'cones' which detect colour.
-The optic nerve takes the information to the brain.

*** -A human eye in comparison to a digital camera, has 200 million megapixels (100 million cones with 2000 'cones' each) SO its just a bit better than a digital camera!!! ***

Enjoy!!
