I was happy to finally catch up to a Hammond's Flycatcher (Empidonax hammondii) at a small urban park near where I live. Although I've seen this species once or twice before, I had never actually photographed it before today.

Although birding has been my main passion for the last 17 years, I recently started keeping track of how many species I can actually get a photo of. I'm not talking "professional" shots, just something to document it. Anyway, the Hammond's joins that list of 800+ bird species.
